“I told him that I’d like to start a group to bring podcasters together," Kalsow said. It all started when Kalsow and Wulterkens met at a networking group and started talking about podcasts. “We’re a collective of people who like podcasts and want to do podcasts ourselves,” Kalsow said. “We are following a passion we believe in.” The number of those listening continues to grow, and in the United States, 75% of the population is familiar with the term “podcasting” and half of all homes are podcast fans.ĭespite those numbers making it seem like there is saturation, David Kalsow says the possibilities for new podcasts are endless. Kalsow, who calls himself the "Technical Dude," and Eric Wulterkens, "Podcast Kingpin," have created Appleton Podcast Co-op. This year, estimated that there are over 2 million podcasts in the world with more than 48 million episodes available.
